We're sorry your order arrived in less-than-perfect condition. The steps you take at the time of delivery are critical — please read through this carefully before signing for your shipment.
Before you sign the delivery receipt:
Inspecting your freight shipment before signing is the single most important thing you can do to protect your damage claim. Once you sign without noting damage, the freight carrier may deny any claim filed afterward.
- Carefully inspect the outside of the packaging before the driver leaves.
- If you see any signs of damage — dents, tears, crushed corners, or anything suspicious — note it on the delivery receipt before you sign. Write something like "damaged packaging" or "possible damage" directly on the receipt.
- If the damage is severe and obvious, you have the right to refuse the delivery. Contact us immediately if you do.
- If damage is unclear or the packaging looks only slightly off, accept the delivery but note the condition on the receipt.
After delivery:
- Take photos of the packaging and the part from multiple angles before you unpack or unbox anything. This documentation is essential for the freight carrier claim.
- Do NOT install a damaged part. Installed parts cannot be returned or claimed.
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery:
- Phone: 1-844-XPARTS-1, Mon–Fri 9am–7pm EST, Sat 11am–4pm EST
- Email: support@expediaparts.com
What we'll do:
- We'll work directly with the freight carrier to file a damage claim on your behalf.
- Once the claim is reviewed, we'll arrange a replacement unit to be sent to you.
Warning: If you sign the delivery receipt without noting any damage and later discover the part is damaged, the freight carrier claim may be denied. We cannot override carrier decisions in those situations. Always inspect first — it only takes a minute and it protects you.
If you have any questions about the inspection process or aren't sure what to do at the time of delivery, call us at 1-844-XPARTS-1 and we'll walk you through it.
