A restocking fee is a charge applied when a part is returned after the order has shipped.
Expedia Parts Restocking Fee Policy
All eligible returns — parts sent back after the order has shipped — are subject to a 25% handling and restocking fee. Cancellations are different: they're free while your order is still being processed (before we place it with the supplier), and a 10% cancellation fee applies once we've placed the order but before it ships. This fee covers the costs of:
- Inspecting the returned part
- Repackaging it for inventory
- Coordinating logistics to return the part to the supplier
How It Works
The 25% restocking fee is deducted from your refund. For example, if you paid $1,000 for a part, the restocking fee would be $250, and your refund would be $750 (before any applicable return freight deductions).
Non-Refundable Situations
Not all returns result in a refund. The following situations are non-refundable:
- Parts ordered incorrectly due to customer error
- Parts ordered based on a misdiagnosis of your vehicle's issue
- Installed parts (not eligible for return)
In these cases, the restocking fee process does not apply because the part cannot be returned at all.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your order, contact us as soon as possible. If we haven't placed your order with the supplier yet, cancellation is free. Once we've placed the order but before it ships, a 10% cancellation fee applies. Once the order has shipped, it can't be cancelled — it goes through our return process, and the 25% restocking fee applies.
